It is said to be a powerful magnetic stone throughout the ages that attracts love and fortune. Having been discovered over 2500 years ago, Topaz gems are also called apocalyptic stones. They are known to protect against enemies and are used as a symbol of splendour and love. Goldstone
Goldstone is either red, blue or green. Red goldstone is associated with vitality and energy. Blue Goldstone is associated with learning and communication. Green Goldstone is associated with growth and abundance. Goldstone is a man made stone that has been around since the European Rennaissance. It has since been classified as a semi precious stone. Early monks working at a glass factory near Venice, were practicing alchemy when molten copper accidentally tipped into a molten glass container. Opal is a stone steeped in superstition. It is said to be an unlucky stone unless it is given to you as a gift. Opal is found mainly in Australia, which produces high quality, hardwearing stones. It is also found in Ethipia and while these stones are equally as beautiful, they are less hardwearing. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is also the stone given to celebrate the 14th year of marriage. Pearl
Pearls are historically a symbolic of purity, innocence and faith. They are said to assist in clearing the mind so that it becomes a clear channel for wisdom and spiritual guidance. Medicinally they are said to help stomach disorders and headaches. Pearls are about 2% water, and should not be stored in a warm place, or they may dry out and develop cracks.
